Crystal Palace have told their Premier League rivals that Wilfried Zaha will not be sold for any price this summer, reports say.

Ivory Coast international Zaha rocked the Eagles earlier in the month when he confirmed he wanted to leave the club, with his preferred destination being Arsenal.

Zaha has played more than 300 games for Palace across two spells at Selhurst Park, developing into one of the most highly-rated players in the Premier League.

The Gunners were keen to secure his signature and tabled at least two offers in the hope of bringing the 26-year-old to north London.

Those bids were deemed to be unacceptable and ‘derisory’, however, with Crystal Palace valuing Zaha at around £80million.

Arsenal have since turned their attentions to Lille star Nicolas Pepe and have reportedly agreed a £72m deal with the Ligue 1 club to sign him this summer.

That development has made Everton frontrunners to land Zaha and the Toffees tabled an opening £52m bid to Palace on Sunday.

According to The Sun, Crystal Palace immediately dismissed the offer, however, before insisting that a second bid would be pointless.

Everton were primed to return with an improved bid but it is claimed Palace are stressing – for the time being at least – that Zaha is not for sale.

London rivals Chelsea have also expressed interest in bring Zaha to Stamford Bridge next summer, when they are able to sign players again following their transfer ban.

The Eagles, who finished 12th in the Premier League last season, are concerned they will be unable to find a suitable replacement for Zaha before the summer transfer window closes.

The club are also worried about the backlash from fans if they see another star player depart following Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s £50m move to Manchester United at the start of the month.

Over the weekend, Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson admitted he was completely in the dark over Zaha’s situation.

Following Palace’s 5-0 pre-season friendly win over Bristol City, Hodgson told Sky Sports: ‘Wilf is dealing with the chairman at the moment.

‘The chairman’s his link, they get on very well and know each other very well. Most of what’s going on with Wilfried is going on between him and the chairman and I can’t enlighten you at all.

‘I know what you know. I know it through reading on your websites or in newspapers.’
